NIGHTHAWK PARK

Public BBQ

Nighthawk Park sits quietly in South Morang, one of those neighborhood spots that does exactly what it promises. The playground equipment is sturdy enough to survive the daily assault of local children, with swings that actually swing and slides that haven't been vandalized. Parents will appreciate the thoughtfully placed benches positioned with perfect sightlines for supervision. The park has plenty of shade trees, which is fortunate given Australia's enthusiasm for solar radiation. There's a single barbecue facility, though recent visitors report it's been out of order for some time. Families still find plenty to enjoy here, particularly the kids who treat the play equipment like their personal kingdom. It's the sort of reliable local park that serves its community well, even if you'll need to bring your own lunch.
